About the jobWe are looking for a seasoned Head of Paid Media to lead the paid media function and oversee a dynamic team comprising of specialists in media strategy, performance marketing, and analytics. This role is pivotal to ensuring the optimal allocation of marketing resources and fostering innovation. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing Operations, you will collaborate with various stakeholders across the marketing and retail functions to craft and execute comprehensive paid media strategies that drive business success.Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a cohesive paid media strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and maximizes ROI.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media agencies, digital partners, and third-party vendors to secure favorable deals and collaborations.
  • Identify and integrate new technologies and platforms to optimize media planning, buying, and performance tracking.
  • Establish clear operational guidelines, processes, and best practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the media function.
  • Build a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the marketing and retail teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of media resources to achieve scalability and maximize returns on investment.
  • Oversee the execution of all media campaigns, ensuring performance objectives are met and results are measurable.
  • Provide senior management with insightful, data-driven reports on media performance, along with actionable recommendations for optimization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of media professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in media planning and buying, with a solid understanding of both digital and traditional media landscapes.
  • Expertise in the retail or consumer sectors, with the ability to navigate their unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong network of relationships with media suppliers, digital platforms, and innovation partners in the MENA region.
  • Proficient in media buying technologies, ad serving platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions that optimize campaign performance.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex strategies in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Highly organized with project management experience, able to juggle multiple media campaigns and initiatives simultaneously.
