Our client, a well-established government entity based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will involve leading the client\'s M&A activities to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.Responsibilities:- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A opportunities aligned with the client\'s strategic objectives
- Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and market analyses to ensure informed decision-making
- Develop and implement integration plans to ensure seamless transitions and realization of synergies from acquired entities
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential targets within the waste management industry
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including target company executives, advisors, and internal team members
- Create and review complex financial models to assess the viability and potential returns of proposed M&A transactions
- Ensure all M&A activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Executive Director on the progress and outcomes of M&A activitiesRequirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in M&A, with a significant portion within the utilities industry
- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are highly desirable
- Extensive experience with financial modeling, valuation techniques, & due diligence processes
