Position Title: Head of Human Resources - Dubai Operations
Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Managing Director and Unit General Managers

Position Summary:

The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function within the Dubai operations of Peninsula Hospitality Group. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

The role requires a seasoned HR professional who can ensure compliance with UAE Labor Law and Dubai-specific regulations, foster a positive organizational culture, and enhance employee engagement and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Management:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the overall business objectives of Peninsula Hospitality Group.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify and address HR-related needs and opportunities.

Compliance and Regulatory Management:

• Ensure compliance with UAE Labor Law and Dubai Sustainability Tourism guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring all HR practices comply with local legal requirements.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

• Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates who fit the company culture and meet job requirements.
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Address employee concerns and grievances promptly and effectively.
• Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and programs.

Training and Development:

• Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
• Oversee the implementation of training programs and ensure their alignment with business goals.

Performance Management:

• Manage performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain talent.
• Ensure that compensation practices are aligned with industry standards and comply with local regulations.

HR Policies and Procedures:

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that promote fair and consistent treatment of employees.
• Regularly review and update HR policies to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.

HR Analytics and Reporting:

• Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on HR-related metrics and trends.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience in Hospitality Industry, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of UAE Labor Law and Regulations.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in using HR software, tools and developing resources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED13,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
