FinanceMiddle East15+ yearsAbout our clientWe are working on an opportunity with a prominent investment holding company managing a diverse portfolio across multiple sectors. They are seeking a seasoned professional to join as Head of Finance, a key leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors. This position will oversee financial strategy, corporate finance, and performance management across a portfolio of 4-5 subsidiaries with total assets under management in the multiple billions (USD). What the job involves
- Develop and execute financial strategies to maximise shareholder value and guide long-term corporate planning
- Oversee capital structure management, including debt and equity financing, and build relationships with financial institutions at both holding and subsidiary levels
- Provide financial oversight for portfolio companies, leading valuation processes and performance reporting for stakeholders
- Establish and maintain robust financial operations, including audits, compliance with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and regulatory requirements
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring internal controls are effective and compliant with tax laws and corporate regulations
- Proven senior financial management experience, ideally within investment holding companies, conglomerates, private equity, or family offices
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or equivalent professional certification required. Background in audit from leading firms such as the Big Four is desirable
- Experience working within the UAE is essential
- Expertise in financial strategy, corporate finance, and performance management, with a strong track record in managing relationships with banks and overseeing treasury operations
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills to effectively partner with C-suite executives and board members
