Responsibilities:
The Head of Engineering is responsible for leading the technology department (50+ engineers), with a laser focus and desire to inspire our current engineers and attract new ones.
Responsible for developing strategic department and technology goals in partnership with executive and delivery leadership to align with overall organizational goals.
The role will serve in a People Manager role for the existing Engineering Leads.
This role will be part of our leadership team and will support business development, new business opportunities and ensure technical delivery according to the industry best practices.
The Head of Engineering will be also a member of the company\'s global Engineering Leadership Team and closely work with Group CTO.
Must have strong communication skills (spoken and written) with fluent English.
Hire, onboard, and supervise engineering team members. Monitor and determine various staffing, bench and training needs.
Support sales on new projects, scoping projects, technically assessing project opportunities.
Assure technical architecture design and review according to industry best practices.
Communicate and collaborate with other managers, clients, and contractors.
Lead the partnership activities with technology and staffing vendors.
Develop and implement technology vision in line with business needs and global strategy of the Engineering company.
Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally, participate in public speaking opportunities or writing tech articles.
Maintain recent and accurate data in the company\'s systems; people allocations and talent pool.
Qualifications:
Experienced in leading teams in a matrix management organization between multiple projects and clients.
Possesses an extremely broad range of technical abilities and continually seeks out special interests in other technology.
10+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of leadership experience.
Bachelors degree or greater in computer science or related field highly desired.
Comfortable leading presentations at the executive level with modern enterprise software frameworks and tools.
Several years of previous experience in consulting are highly desired.
