We believe in possibilities, making progress together starting with our people.Role Value PropositionThe Head of Data - Gulf is responsible for leading the Data & Analytics Office in the Gulf region, a product under the Agile Delivery Model.The Data & Analytics Office aims to optimize Data & Analytics, and promote its adoption by relevant stakeholders, in order to enable data-driven decision making.The Head of Data - Gulf will oversee three main workstreams: Data Provisioning, Data Governance, and Data Consumption & Visualization.The Head of Data - Gulf will report to the Head of Product - Gulf, and will collaborate with various business units, regional partners, and external vendors.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Data & Analytics team, composed of multidisciplinary roles such as Data Modelers, Data Governance Specialists, Data Analysts, and Business Analysts.
Ensure alignment of Data & Analytics initiatives with organizational goals and strategies.
Lead the end-to-end implementation and post-implementation of data quality and analytics initiatives, following the Agile framework of quarterly deliveries.
Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices, ensuring data quality, security, and availability.
Ensure effective use of tools and technologies for data sourcing, transformation, modeling, quality, and consumption.
Drive data democratization and self-service approach, empowering end users with analytical capabilities and tools.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data model, data governance, and data consumption.
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a liaison and a champion for Data & Analytics.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback to the Data & Analytics team, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
At least 10 years of experience in Data & Analytics, with 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of data management, data governance, data quality, data modeling, data analysis, and data visualization.
Proficient in various data and analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Azure, Git, etc.
Experience in implementing and leading Agile projects
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon into business language.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment, with a customer-centric mindset.
Experience in the Gulf region and/or the insurance industry is a plus.
