The Arts Club Dubai is perfectly located in the heart of the DIFC, set over four floors and totaling 65,000 square feet, in the brand-new ICD Brookfield Place development designed by Foster + Partners.

It is the first international outpost of the celebrated and historical private members club, established in 1863 in Mayfair, London. CANDIDATE INFORMATION The candidate for this role should be an innovative, well-read, and well-connected individual who has a diverse range of interests including, current affairs, politics, environment, sports, technology, healthcare, science, and art. These interests should be brought to life in the role by conceptualizing and executing high-quality events for The Arts Club Members, including but not limited to Talks, Debates, Panel discussions, exhibition tours, game nights, museum tours, art fair excursions and much more.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Member and art events: formatting a creative direction in order to deliver members with a rounded, diverse and informative programme, to include debates, talks, shows and events focused on art, science, politics, tech, fashion, children, business, current affairs, music and more.
  • Curating events to appeal to all demographics, with focus on brand alignment and cultural integrity.
  • Relationship building with speakers, performers, brands, suppliers, personalities, bookers, members, sponsors.
  • Present at the member events to ensure smooth running and where improvements can be made.
  • When/where appropriate, managing team members who will assist with the above.
  • Managing team including annual appraisals, salary reviews, attendance records, holiday monitoring and so on
  • Working with Head of Private Events (or equivalent) on special occasion events e.g., Halloween, Ramadan, NYE, both creative and production.
  • Reporting and analysing event success/demographic attendance and so on, plus ROI where possible.
  • Creating annual budgeting for department
  • Monthly cost control and the general management of invoice approval for all member events
  • Completing of revenue costing sheets / reports
  • Liaise with social media team to ensure correct coverage before, during and after events.
  • To update and increase viewership on TAC Dubai Podcasts of events and speakers or similar to further improve members experience and to give value to the membership.
  • Proof and approve monthly e-newsletter created by marketing team.
  • Collaborate with marketing team on the member event booklet tri-annually (hard/digital copy).
  • Keep marketing up to date with which events need promoting.
  • Update the member event profitability log
  • Host dinners and receptions with key industry players to foster relationship and drive business for The Arts Club
  • Ensure finalised programmes are delivered to Executive Director - Membership & Cultural Programme and Group CEO for final approval according to pre-agreed schedule.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills: A minimum of one of the following qualifications:
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Journalism
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Political Science
  • Master of Fine Arts (MFA)
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Art History
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Cultural Studies
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Sociology
  • Master of Arts (MA) in International Relations
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Performing Arts
  • At least 4 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent level of English, written and spoken.
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Excellent team management skills with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Be a self-motivator and someone who is ready to challenge in the interest of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work long shifts and be flexible with their scheduling.
  • Able to travel with the Team when necessary.
