We are looking for a Head of Construction professional to join our Gulf Craft Maldives branch.

The position will be based in the MALDIVES.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management: You would oversee all construction projects from inception to completion. This involves planning budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Managing a team of construction professionals including engineers, architects, contractors, and laborers. Providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure projects are executed efficiently and safely.
• Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Sourcing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. Negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to optimize costs and timelines.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all construction activities comply with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards. Obtaining necessary permits and licenses as required.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks related to construction projects (e.g., safety hazards, budget overruns) and implementing strategies to mitigate them. Monitoring project progress and addressing issues promptly.
• Technology Integration: Implementing construction management software and other technological tools to streamline processes, improve communication, and enhance project efficiency.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Incorporating sustainable building practices and materials into construction projects where feasible. Aligning with the startup's environmental goals and community impact.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining regular communication with internal stakeholders (e.g., executives, project managers) and external parties (e.g., clients, regulatory authorities). Providing updates on project status, milestones, and challenges.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of innovation within the construction team. Seeking opportunities to adopt new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to improve project outcomes.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Being adaptable to the startup environment where priorities may shift, and new challenges arise frequently. Being proactive and resourceful in finding solutions.
