This role is focused on maximizing the financial effectiveness and profitability of the business through the diligent application of robust contractual and commercial controls and practices, alongside careful risk management. Responsibilities include ensuring the proper implementation and adherence to company commercial and financial procedures and controls. As the head of the department, the role also involves planning and implementing commercial strategies to support the business objectives in the short, mid, and long term.What you will do

• Develop necessary processes and procedures.
• Recruit, train, develop, review, and retain staff, including identifying and communicating their development and training needs.
• Deploy staff flexibly to provide effective commercial services.
• Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders and third parties.
• Conduct contract reviews, identifying risks and mitigation strategies, and ensure proper execution of contract documents before project commencement.
• Provide contractual and commercial support across the business and ensure integration into project business plans.
• Prepare monthly contract review reports and management accounts information.
• Implement strong financial controls, monitor budgets, drive cost reduction initiatives, and manage variations against the original contract specifications.
• Maintain regular customer contact to ensure satisfaction, identify potential problems early, and implement customer care initiatives.
• Assist with business planning, ensure adherence to corporate governance standards, and be accountable for financial performance and risk management..
• Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety, quality of services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed within AFC
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of process and practices taking into account, the interests and benefits to Al Futtaim and its employees.

Required Skills to be successful

• 20 years of work experience, in which 5 to 7 years of Senior Managerial level.
• Experience of negotiation in multi-agency, multi stakeholder\'s environment
• Significant track record of success in strategically leading a major contract, business unit o region and/or professional function
• Excellent commercial and financial acumen
• Managed the team size of 6 + professionals / managers.
• Knowledge in various construction / Infrastructure sectors

What equips you for the role

• Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or Associate Degree
• Member of Professional Body, preferably Chartered Status plus a minimum intermediate Level Qualification
