• BIM Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute the organization's BIM strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and industry standards.
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of BIM professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Project Coordination & Quality Control: Oversee the integration and coordination of BIM models across various disciplines (architecture, engineering, MEP), ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of models and deliverables.
• Standards & Compliance: Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows that ensure compliance with project specifications, company procedures, and regional regulations.
• Client Presentation & Engagement: Confidently present BIM issues, solutions, and project progress to clients, addressing concerns and ensuring that solutions align with client goals. Maintain strong, transparent communication to foster lasting partnerships.
• Innovation & Computational Design: Champion the use of computational design and automation tools within BIM processes to improve project efficiency. Experience in parametric modelling or generative design would be advantageous.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, project managers, and external stakeholders to align BIM activities with project goals.
• Training & Development: Lead internal training initiatives to upskill team members in BIM tools and practices, ensuring the organization stays at the forefront of BIM innovation.
• Technology Management: Manage BIM-related software licenses and resources, keeping the organization updated on the latest technological advancements in the field.
• Reporting & Documentation: Regularly report to senior management on the progress of BIM initiatives, highlighting challenges, opportunities, and project milestones.
• Bidding & Marketing: Provide comprehensive support to the Bidding Team by developing a compelling proposal for BIM Management in relation to LDC and Engineering services contracts. Collaborate closely with the team to create impactful marketing materials that bolster our business's tender qualification process, while effectively showcasing our expertise and capabilities in successfully delivering BIM projects. Leveraging BIM content and visual aids that enhance our visibility and position ourselves as a trusted and proficient partner in the industry.
• Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Engineering or Architecture from a recognized institution.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in BIM management, with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects.
Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in a BIM environment.
• Proven expertise in using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo) and other design tools.
• Preference for experience in computational design, including knowledge of parametric or generative design.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols, and experience in creating and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Confident presenter, able to clearly articulate complex BIM-related issues and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Training and Development: Identify skill gaps within the BIM team, Design Engineers and develop training programs to enhance their capabilities. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and continuous learning.
Qualifications • Experience with large infrastructure or megaprojects in the Middle East region.
• Proficiency in clash detection and model coordination.
• Knowledge of smart city technologies and integration with BIM models.
