Location: Dubai, UAEThe main objective of the job is to provide outstanding leadership to achieve excellence in the quality of teaching, learning and assessments delivered throughout the School. To drive high standards in progress and attainment across all phases of the school, through effective direct line management of School Principal and working closely with the Data Team, Vice Principals and Phase Leaders. The Head of Assessment of the School will assist in the formulation of assessment policies, action plans, goals and objectives in order to develop and maintain an educationally effective school of excellence.Salary and Benefits:1. Assessment Strategy and Vision:
xe2x97x8f Develop and articulate a clear assessment strategy and vision that aligns with the school's overall goals and objectives.
xe2x97x8f Leading the development and implementation of Assessment policies and procedures in alignment with the American national curriculum framework and KHDA standards.
xe2x97x8f Drive the implementation of assessment initiatives and ensure they support the schoolxe2x80x99s vision and mission.Leadership and Team Management:
xe2x97x8f Lead and inspire a team of data and assessment professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
xe2x97x8f Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data and assessment team.
xe2x97x8f Provide leadership and support to faculty members in the Assessment policies and procedures.
xe2x97x8f Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
xe2x97x8f Promote high academic and personal expectations for all students and staff members.
Process Development and Improvement:
xe2x97x8f Design and implement assessment processes that are efficient, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.
xe2x97x8f Continuously evaluate and enhance assessment methodologies and tools to ensure their effectiveness and validity.
xe2x97x8f Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and innovations in the field of assessment.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
xe2x97x8f Collaborate with senior leaders, head of curriculum and instructional leads to understand their assessment needs and align assessment initiatives with school objectives.
xe2x97x8f Provide strategic guidance on the use of assessments for talent acquisition, talent development, and performance evaluation.
xe2x97x8f Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on assessment-related matters.
Data Analysis and Insights:
xe2x97x8f Oversee the collection and analysis of assessment data, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality.
xe2x97x8f Extract meaningful insights from assessment results and translate them into actionable recommendations for the Schoolxe2x80x99s decision-making.
xe2x97x8f Present assessment findings to senior leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
xe2x97x8f To analyze the assessment data of all the assessments and train teachers on how to use data to guide instructional practices.
xe2x97x8f Utilize the Schoolxe2x80x99s student data system to measure student performance over time to inform educational decision making.
xe2x97x8f Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning and the standards of pupilsxe2x80x99 achievement and set targets for improvement.
xe2x97x8f Setting up the benchmark of a student's attainment at all levels in all subject areas.
xe2x97x8f Responsible for planning of data analysis & assessments training in the school.
xe2x97x8f Responsible for analyzing the results and implementing interventions/enrichment to improve the results.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
xe2x97x8f Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in assessment practices, including privacy and data protection regulations.
xe2x97x8f Establish and monitor quality assurance measures to maintain the validity, fairness, and reliability of assessments.
xe2x97x8f Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in assessment processes.
Change Management and Communication:
xe2x97x8f Drive change management efforts related to assessment practices, ensuring buy-in and engagement from stakeholders.
xe2x97x8f Effectively communicate assessment initiatives, processes, and outcomes to all levels of the organization, fostering understanding and support.
Miscellaneous
xe2x97x8f Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and other stakeholders to ensure that they are informed about data and assessment results and analysis.
xe2x97x8f Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in curriculum design, assessment, and instruction
xe2x97x8f Promote and represent the school both internally and externally.
xe2x97x8f All the duties as assigned by the Director of Teaching and Learning.
