Job Title: Head Chef Location: Bahrain Package: 1,800 : 2,000 BHD per month, plus benefits Im currently supporting an amazing hospitality group, in Bahrain, with their search for a Head Chef. The group have a number of incredible concepts under their banner, and have been able to organically expand across the Kingdom. That being said, they are now actively looking to bring on:board an experienced Head Chef, to oversee all BOH and culinary operations for one of their leading venues and outlets that has been recognised regionally as one of the Best restaurants across the MENA territory. The role will be reporting to the Group Culinary Director, and in short youll be responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the BOH and culinary operations. Youll be tasked on achieving an excellent standard of food quality and food presentation as well as managing the food costs in accordance with resort guidelines with regards to both quality and style of cuisine. You will also need to manage all aspects of the kitchen including purchasing, staffing, menu design and presentation. We are looking for those who have successfully overseen BOH and culinary operations within high:end/fine dining venues in the past (with a strong focus on Mediterranean/European cuisine), and prior Middle Eastern/GCC experience is a must too. Responsibilities: * Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities. * Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings. * Approve and polish dishes before they reach the customer. * Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages. * Arrange for repairs when necessary. * Remedy any problems or defects. * Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff. * Oversee the work of subordinates. * Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
