As the Turkish Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu creation to staff management, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that reflect the rich culinary heritage of Hatay. You will play a key role in maintaining our restaurant's reputation for excellence while providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Menu Development:
• Design and develop innovative menus that highlight authentic Hatay Turkish cuisine.
• Regularly update the menu based on seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
• Kitchen Management:
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
• Staff Leadership:
• Manage and train kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen assistants.
• Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
• Quality Control:
• Monitor and maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Cost Management:
• Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
• Implement efficient procedures to reduce waste and optimize kitchen operations.
• Guest Interaction:
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and address any special dietary needs.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience through exceptional food and personalized service.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role, with a strong background in Hatay Turkish cuisine.
• Proficiency in English and/or Arabic is required for effective communication with staff and guests.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
