Supervise and train cashier staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Assign duties and shifts to cashier team members, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours. Oversee cashiering operations, including handling cash transactions, processing payments, and providing change to customers. Balance cash registers at the beginning and end of each shift, verifying accuracy of transactions and reconciling discrepancies. Maintain proper cash handling procedures and security measures to prevent theft or fraud. Prepare daily cash reports and deposits, recording all cash transactions accurately. Resolve customer complaints or issues related to transactions, refunds, or exchanges. Assist with inventory management tasks, such as receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and conducting stock counts. Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting and sales, to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions. Monitor cashier performance and provide feedback and coaching to improve productivity and customer service.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role, with supervisory experience preferred. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
