JOB SUMMARY

As the Head Cashier and Data Entry, you will be responsible for overseeing all cash handling activities while also managing essential data entry tasks. This role involves supervising cashier staff, ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, you will handle data entry and record-keeping for sales, inventory, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and financial management skills, and excel in both customer service and administrative tasks. This position is key to maintaining smooth financial operations and supporting the overall efficiency of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling:

• Oversee and manage all cash handling activities, including processing payments, issuing receipts, and managing cash drawers.
• Reconcile cash at the end of each shift and resolve any discrepancies.
• Train and supervise cashier staff to ensure adherence to cash handling procedures.

Customer Service:

• Deliver exceptional customer service at the point of sale, addressing customer inquiries and resolving billing issues promptly.
• Maintain a positive and efficient checkout experience for customers.

Data Entry:

• Accurately enter and maintain data related to sales, inventory, and employee records.
• Generate and review reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Update and organize both electronic and paper records.

Administrative Support:

• Provide administrative support across departments, including processing invoices and managing correspondence.
• Assist with the preparation of documentation for audits and compliance.

Operational Efficiency:

• Monitor and maintain cashier equipment and data entry systems.
• Implement procedures to enhance cash handling and data management efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cashier, in data entry, or in a similar financial role, preferably within a restaurant or retail environment.
• Experience in supervising or managing a team is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and financial skills with excellent accuracy in data entry.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems, data management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to work effectively under pressure.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in finance, accounting, or office administration are a plus.
