Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pipe Installation:

Install HDPE pipes in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local building codes. Perform excavation, trenching, and site preparation activities to facilitate the correct installation of pipes. Handle and install HDPE pipes, ensuring proper cutting, fusing, and alignment during installation. Install pipe supports, brackets, anchors, and other necessary components to ensure proper system functionality. Ensure the precise alignment and leveling of pipes throughout the installation process.

2. Pipe Fusion and Welding:

Operate various fusion machines (butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion) to securely join HDPE pipes, ensuring leak-proof connections. Follow established procedures for fusion techniques, ensuring consistent high-quality results. Conduct visual inspections and tests on fused joints to verify proper fusion quality and compliance with specifications.

3. Maintenance & Repair:

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of HDPE pipes to ensure system functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pipe performance, such as leaks, cracks, or damage. Replace damaged sections of pipe and perform necessary fusion processes to ensure the continued integrity of the pipeline. Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, inspections, and materials used during the project. Submit daily progress reports, outlining completed work, issues encountered, and any delays or changes to the project scope. Ensure all documentation is accurately maintained and available for future reference or audits.

5. Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site safety protocols. Report any safety hazards or unsafe working conditions to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications:

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience

in HDPE pipe installation, pipeline construction, or a related field. Proficiency in operating fusion machines, trenching equipment, and other pipeline installation tools. Strong understanding of HDPE piping systems, tools, and installation techniques. Basic math and measurement skills for accurate alignment and pipe cutting.
