Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy-Duty (HD) Mechanic to join our team. The HD Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and machinery used in transportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with hydraulic and electrical systems, and a keen eye for troubleshooting mechanical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy-duty equipment and machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and trucks.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess the functionality and condition of machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Repair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
• Weld, fabricate, and modify equipment when necessary.
• Maintain accurate service records, work logs, and inventory of parts and tools.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs efficiently.
• Stay updated on the latest industry technologies and advancements in heavy equipment maintenance.
