DescriptionPosition at GroupMThe Senior Media Planner supports the Senior Investment Manager in the day-to-day management of media activities and to produce a cohesive media plan based on the client brief, including communications goals and brings together different disciplines for integration across multiple media channels. The Senior Media Planner strives for the most effective media strategies and execution and manages the process with related parties.Roles and Responsibilities:To liaise, communicate and collaborate with the various internal teams to ensure that the client deliverables are met on time and bring any potential shortfalls to the immediate attention of the line manager.To handle developing and implementing creative media solutions, provide suggestions and feedback wherever appropriate and demonstrate creative thinking always based on consumer & business informationTo support the line manager in preparing and presenting appropriate and detailed media plans and managing final budget allocation informed by any research or insight, brand, and category dynamics with minimal supervisionTo attend and document agency status meeting and build effective relationships with agency account leads and teams to clarify media goals, objectives and strategies and brief all internal teams as necessaryTo thoroughly check BOs and outputs from operations teams, and ensure accuracy before they are shared with media vendorsTrack media spending against allocated budgets and resolve any discrepancies in a timely mannerGenerate regular reports on trading/investment performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement to internal stakeholdersTo constantly monitor the role functionality; to maintain accurate, up-to-date records and submit regular monthly reports to agreed standards as required to ensure the remit\'s effectiveness is maximized and its activities are in line with overall GroupM business strategyTo constantly look for ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the role; to suggest and implement improvements to internal procedures and controls to improve efficiency, reduce costs and to promote and protect the business interests of Mediacom MENA wherever possibleTo continuously develop and exercise understanding of media offerings in the market and maintain network relationships with media suppliers and clientsTo proactively research newest trends in the industry and market, developing strategic acumen.Experience: - 2 years\' experience in a media planning role with strong digital and performance marketing knowledge and strong TV planning background- Strong acumen for planning and buying media tools- Good industry knowledge across traditional and digital channels, strategic and conceptual development of brand marketing, industry & consumer trends would be beneficial.- Ability to handle multiple campaigns at any one time- A good communicator capable of expressing their own ideas, thoughts and concepts and a basic understanding of media planning with a natural tendency towards accuracy, attention to detail, establishing trust and relationship building.- Effectively applies rationale and logic when constructing media plans, uses in-depth analysis and understanding of implications.- Will need to have strong digital capabilities including social media, showcase platform knowledge and understanding- Advanced excel skills would be preferred
