The Manager will be responsible for leading sustainability initiatives across Al-Futtaim Group, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and close collaboration with division leaders and Sustainability champions in the divisions. This role will in particular be key to elevate Al Futtaim's position on circularity.What you will doSustainability Strategy
Identify and deliver group level sustainability initiatives, including building the business case, aligning cross-functional teams and delivering & measuring impact at scale
Develop sustainability strategic initiatives with our Blue Rewards team, empowering our 3m+ customer database to take Climate Action
Circularity and Waste Management
Support divisions and geographies in their circularity and waste management initiatives by bringing best practices and identifying opportunities for collaboration
Lead and coordinate group level waste management initiatives across our divisions and geographies in close collaboration with our division leaders
Monitor regulatory developments on circularity across the markets in which we operate
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage and build the case for sustainability action at employee level together with HR functions including developing tailored learning programs, knowledge sharing opportunities and employee initiatives
Provide strategic support for Quarterly Business Reviews, Executive Committee meetings, Group requests/meetings, and Investment Committee as needed
Ensure alignment across divisions and identify opportunities for collaborations and ways to address trade-offs
Align with Procurement function to ensure Circularity initiatives involve our full value chain
Required skills to be successful
Experience in delivering a Sustainability strategy and Sustainability initiatives at scale
Relevant experience in circularity and driving circularity initiatives a plus
Experience working in the Middle East
Experience in one or more of our core industry verticals (Automotive, Real Estate, Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare)
Experience building traction with diverse groups of stakeholders by leveraging facts and figures
Passion for Climate action
What equips you for the role
Master's degree or professional certification in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Previous experience in sustainability strategy
Experience working in cross-functional teams
