The Role

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Group Managing Director to lead our manufacturing operations in the FMCG sector, this regional role (Africa & ME) shall lead the business in Africa and Middle East region. The incumbent shall report to Chairman as well as to the Board with full P & L responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive regional experience in the manufacturing and trading of fast-moving consumer goods, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and achieving strategic growth. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategic plans for the manufacturing division to align with the overall business objectives. - Lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals to achieve operational efficiency and excellence in manufacturing processes. - Oversee the entire manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, quality control measures, and regulatory requirements. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. - Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging new product development and technological advancements within the manufacturing framework. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and key stakeholders to ensure a seamless supply chain. - Monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. - Prepare and manage the annual budget for the manufacturing division, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability. - Report to the Board of Directors on operational performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives. - Champion sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing processes to promote environmentally friendly practices.



Requirements

• Proven experience as a Managing Director or in a similar executive leadership role within the FMCG manufacturing sector internationally including Africa. - Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality assurance practices. - Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and achieving business growth. - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams across various functions. - Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. - A track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners. - Experience in managing budgets and financial resources effectively. - Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the FMCG manufacturing industry. - A passion for innovation and a commitment to driving change in a fast-paced environment.
