Job Description

The Group HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the human resources functions for multiple locations or business units within the organization. This includes managing talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, compliance, and organizational development. The Group HR Manager ensures alignment between HR strategies and organizational goals while fostering a positive and productive work culture.

1.

Talent Acquisition & Staffing



Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent for the organization. Work closely with department heads to understand hiring needs and skill requirements. Manage recruitment processes, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers. Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and universities for talent sourcing. Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires across the group.
2.

Employee Relations



Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR policies and procedures. Resolve employee relations issues by conducting investigations and providing solutions to workplace conflicts. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by implementing programs that enhance employee engagement. Foster strong communication channels between leadership and staff to ensure alignment and address concerns promptly.
3.

Performance Management



Oversee the performance management cycle, including goal setting, reviews, and feedback. Assist leaders with performance appraisals and offer guidance on improvement plans. Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks across all business units. Identify training needs arising from performance evaluations and work with Learning and Development (L&D) teams.

Compensation and Benefits



Manage the design, implementation, and review of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Conduct market surveys to ensure compensation and benefits packages remain competitive. Oversee payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Address employee queries related to salary, benefits, and incentives.
5.

Learning and Development



Identify learning and development needs and develop tailored programs for skill enhancement. Promote leadership development and succession planning within the organization. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary. Collaborate with business leaders to develop training initiatives that support business objectives.
6.

Compliance and Legal Matters



Ensure HR practices comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Keep abreast of labor law changes and communicate these to the management and staff as necessary. Advise leadership on matters such as employee discipline, terminations, and employee contracts. Manage employee health and safety policies in compliance with legal standards.
7.

Strategic HR Planning and Reporting



Contribute to the development and execution of the overall HR strategy aligned with the organization's goals. Prepare and present regular reports on HR metrics to the senior leadership team. Analyze trends in employee turnover, engagement, and satisfaction, and take corrective action as needed. Support organizational restructuring or change management initiatives when required.
8.

HR Systems & Technology



Oversee the utilization of HR software and ensure data integrity in HR systems. Leverage technology to streamline HR processes and improve operational efficiency. Provide training and support to HR teams on software and systems.

Qualifications:Education:



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD) is a plus.

Experience:



Minimum 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Experience in a multi-location or group HR environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation. Experience with HR technology and system implementation is advantageous.

Skills:



Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills. In-depth knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices. Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to analyse HR data and derive actionable insights. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
