Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled chef to join our prestigious culinary team as an Group Head Chef/Deputy to the Group Culinary Director. This unique role blends culinary expertise with executive support responsibilities, requiring a professional who is as comfortable in the kitchen as they are in a spreadsheet. The successful candidate will closely support the Group Culinary Director, providing assistance in all facets of culinary operations, strategic decision-making, and analytical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive Support:
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of presentations, analytical reports, and communications.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
2. Culinary Assistance:
- Provide hands-on culinary support during recipe development, menu planning, and tastings.
- Collaborate with and assist the Culinary Director in conceptualising and refining new dishes, ensuring alignment with brand standards and customer expectations.
- Oversee operations during the Director's absence, ensuring consistency and quality.
3. Menu and Dish Performance Analysis:
- Conduct detailed analysis of menu items and dish performance across the group's restaurants.
- Collect, organise, and interpret data on customer preferences, sales trends, and cost-effectiveness of dishes.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimise menu offerings and drive profitability.
4. Strategic Involvement:
- Participate in high-level culinary strategy meetings, contributing insights and supporting decision-making processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of culinary initiatives aimed at enhancing the group's competitive edge.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of culinary projects.
5. Operational Efficiency:
- Support the Culinary Director in monitoring and improving kitchen efficiency, including inventory management, waste reduction, and cost control.
- Implement best practices in kitchen operations and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
6. Leadership and Training:
- Mentor and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Serve as a brand role model in professionalism, culinary innovation, and operational discipline.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a group executive chef or in a similar high-level culinary role.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent culinary skills with a deep understanding of modern cuisine and food trends.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics related to menu and dish performance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in a luxury or high-end hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- A degree or diploma in culinary arts, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED38,000.00 per month
