Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Group Audit Specialist to support our ongoing annual auditing process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements and liaising with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy. This contractual role is suited for someone with expertise in financial reporting, auditing processes, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

• Financial Statement Preparation : Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Audit Support : Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and insights to auditors.
• Communication with Auditors : Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating clear communication and addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
• Compliance and Accuracy : Ensure all financial reports comply with applicable regulations and standards, verifying the accuracy of financial data.
• Financial Analysis : Conduct analysis of financial data and reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Documentation : Maintain organized records of financial statements and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Collaboration : Work closely with internal finance teams and other departments to gather relevant information and ensure smooth audit operations.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes and internal controls to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Audit Liaison : Act as the liaison between finance, accounts, and auditors, ensuring all parties are aligned for a smooth audit process.

Qualifications :

• ACCA or CA certification is required.
• Previous experience assisting with annual audits and liaising with external auditors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
