We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions, cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabis airport.Graphic Designer InternDubaiJOB CONTEXTThales in the UAE is answering a large quantity of offers and part of the bid process consist in drafting impactful high quality document that help understand the value proposition and key differentiators of the group.The technical people in charge of providing the content of these document often lack the skills or time to generate an output up to the quality expected from a premium industrial leader like ThalesROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESIn close collaboration with the Dubai Design Center Team, you will be in charge of designing / re-designing critical outgoing communication/ marketing document such digital marketing content, bid executive summary or Thales key solution white papers.You will also participate to all activities of the Design Center: projects, workshops, presentation and formations. The work will be about new products, services, systems, digital interfaces and organisations, keeping in mind the user, technology and business aspects.Your role will also include the following tasks
Explore and Assess environment: trends (usage, business model, technologies) elaborate analogies (conceptual and visual)
Analyse and Define problems: User Research, Persona and Journey Maps
Collaborate with designers in prototyping, 3D modelling, graphic production (concept posters, product design inspiration boards storyboards, video animation...)
Participate to communication and presentation sessions with customers (Storytelling)
Preferred Skills:
At least have some fundamentals with the following:
Graphics Design - with a taste for design.
3D Design - know a little bit of 3D and how it works.
UX/UI Design - can identify interface elements and able to understand the flow on how user interact with it.
Tools:
MS Word/PowerPoint - ability to draft a design using native tools
Adobe Suits:
Photoshop - basic photo editing skills like removing background or enhancement Illustrator - to create/modify logos or icons XD - know the basic functions Premiere Pro - can be learned how to edit corporate videos (can be learned during training) After Effects - addition to video editing (can be learned during training)
Figma - Preferred UI tool(sometimes XD, or other tools) (can be learned during training)
Sketchup - 3D tool for modifying and enhancement 3D products (can be learned during training)
Enscape - Rendering 3Ds to create impactful images for documents (can be learned during training)
Blender - Advance 3D Modeling(Optional).Autonomy, creativity and passion.Bonus:Arabic & French would be a good additionAR/VR Programming.
HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
Take care of your own safety and the safety of others as far as is practicable.
To be aware of, and play an active role in the development and implementation of the HSE Management System, project HSE requirements and Policy Statements.
Understanding your personal responsibilities and contribute to achieving compliance with the HSE Management System requirements, understand the potential consequences of non-compliance to the HSE arrangements and commits to stated policies above;
Comply with local laws and legislation regarding HSE
To use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended and observe that this is also enforced within their departments and among subcontractors and third parties working in Thaless controlled premises/systems.
Do not interfere with or change, adjust anything that is provided for safety unless fully trained to do so. Promote a good HSE culture within their departments and among their peers, subcontractors and third parties;
Lead by example and actively encourage their departments to look at ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimize the generation of waste through personal performance and raise recommendations on how to improve existing processes on this regard within/outside their departments.
Conduct regular reviews on the HSE Management System Performance within their areas of responsibility and seek ways of continual improvement.
