This opportunity will allow you to collaborate with experienced designers on transformative urban projects.Role OverviewAs a Graduate Urban Designer at AECOM, you will be instrumental in shaping vibrant and sustainable urban environments. You will collaborate closely with the Design team to deliver comprehensive master plans for a diverse range of projects and schemes across the region. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to conceptual urban design and planning efforts, conduct site analysis, develop master plans, create development briefs, and devise design strategies for various schemes. Your responsibilities will include:
Contributing to research-based tasks and ensuring the quality of output aligns with local office standards.
Collecting, comprehending, and graphically representing Zoning Regulations, local regulatory frameworks, and urban design guidelines in operating regions.
Properly representing sites and projects drawings in correct scales.
Assisting senior staff in preparing qualitative and quantitative diagrams and drawings covering benchmark and precedent studies.
Collecting applicable design typologies relevant to project briefs for discussions with Senior Urban Designers on relevance.
Contributing to maintaining the office\'s physical and digital library of submitted projects, innovative urban design books, and ideas.
Analyzing project briefs and sites, collaborating with peers to develop comprehensive site reviews and recommendations.
Acquiring or on the path to acquire basic urban design attributes used across urban design projects.
Translating and representing innovative design solutions through digital tools and personal skills.
Facilitating internal workshops and summarizing outcomes in reports.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in Urban Design or Architecture with a focus on Urban Design subjects from an accredited University
Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM\'s Graduate Program.
Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.3 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.
If you hold a Master\'s Degree, it should have started within 12 months of completing your Bachelor\'s Degree to ensure continuous education and meet program requirements.
Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for the program and are encouraged to apply for our professional-level roles instead.
