Join us at AECOM as a Graduate Engineer - Electrical and become part of our Utilities team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects involving the design of power and extra low voltage networks, substations, street lighting, and more.Role OverviewAs a Graduate Engineer - Electrical, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models tailored to specific discipline requirements. Under supervision, you will apply your design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs within project timelines and budgets. You will also use engineering software to solve fundamental problems and coordinate with other disciplines to maintain design continuity.Key Responsibilities
Develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models as per project requirements.
Assist in design content to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines.
Perform work following agreed-upon budgets and schedules.
Collect and analyze information from interdisciplinary project BIM models.
Use computer software to solve fundamental engineering problems.
Coordinate with other discipline engineers to maintain design continuity.
Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.
Ensure the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams.
Actively seek information, opportunities to participate, and contribute to project success.
Apply experience or theoretical knowledge to solve problems and complete assignments.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with exposure to one or more of the following subjects from an accredited university:
Street Lighting Design
Power design (High voltage, medium voltage, low voltage)
Extra low voltage design (telecom, security etc.)
Power generation
Renewable power generation
Sustainability within the power industry
Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.3 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.
If you hold a Masters Degree, it should have started within 12 months of completing your Bachelors Degree to ensure continuous education and meet program requirements.
Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for the program and are encouraged to apply for our professional-level roles instead.
