: * To perform the professional duties of a GP-pediatrician in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended by the credential committee.
Determines which cases constitute an emergency, extends rapid treatment to the pediatric patient as needed, makes quick decisions, and chooses the correct consultant for necessary additional guidance.
Upon request examines in-patients on wards/ICU, rendering immediate judgment and treatment if necessary.
Advises nursing personnel regarding medical problems; occasionally must go on emergency ambulance trips or otherwise use good judgment in responding to bona fide outside emergencies.
Completes all medical records and case histories promptly, indicating thereon the diagnosis and treatment given. Is responsible for the medical accuracy, completeness and confidential nature of patients' medical records.
Provides health counseling of patients as needed.
Attends professional and hospital meetings as directed by the HOD. Occasionally prepares cases for presentation at ward rounds and staff meetings.
To perform duties in outpatient clinics (if and when required).
Provides on-call emergency coverage.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Emergency Services.

Qualifications: * Graduation from an approved Medical School
1 year of Internship
2 year residency training in a recognized pediatric residency training program.
At least 2 years as a full-time pediatrician, after residency training.
Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
ACLS or ATLS certified.
