Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Governance Manager to join a highly reputable in-house legal team based in Abu Dhabi. Managing 2 direct reports, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of corporate governance strategies, rules and regulations across the business divisions in line with applicable SCA regulations.Job Specific Accountabilities
- Schedules Board, Board Executive Committee, and Nomination and Remuneration Committee meetings.
- Prepares the agendas, follows up on the status of action items, and compiles the Board, Board Executive Committee, and Nomination and Remuneration Committee papers.
- Drafts the minutes of the meetings.
- Prepares the corporate, functional, and divisional standards, procedures, manuals, work instructions, forms, and templates.
- Develops and implements the corporate governance framework in line with applicable regulatory requirements and leading practices.
- Reviews and finalises corporate publications, including the Corporate Governance Report.
- Bachelor\'s Degree (law, accounting, business, or similar discipline) from a reputable university.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in top-flight international law/accounting/consultancy firms and/or blue-chip corporations
- Relevant international governance qualifications/certifications.
