The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the Golf Club's operations, ensuring a high-quality experience for members, guests, and employees. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, strategic planning, financial management, marketing, and staff development to maintain the club's reputation and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operations Management:
• Oversee daily club operations, including golf course maintenance, food and beverage services, events, and pro shop management.
• Ensure the highest standards in customer service and facility maintenance.
• Coordinate with department heads to develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures.
• Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled.
• Analyze financial statements and implement strategies for growth.
• Oversee payroll, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Membership and Guest Relations:
• Drive membership growth through targeted marketing efforts and retention programs.
• Address member and guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Develop programs and events that enhance the membership experience.
• Staff Leadership and Development:
• Hire, train, and manage club staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and establish employee development plans.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and employment laws and regulations.
• Marketing and Community Engagement:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the club and its services.
• Build relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and organizations.
• Manage social media and other communication channels to maintain the club's image.
• Facility and Course Management:
• Work closely with the golf course superintendent to maintain the course in optimal playing condition.
• Oversee maintenance of club facilities, including clubhouse, dining areas, and recreational amenities.
• Implement capital improvement projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role at a golf club.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of golf course operations, membership sales, and event management is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
