Job Description

1. Technical Skills

• Furnace Operation: Expertise in handling and maintaining furnaces, including induction, electric arc, or traditional smelting furnaces.
• Melting and Smelting: Knowledge of melting gold and separating impurities through smelting processes.
• Temperature Control: Skill in efficiently monitoring and maintaining precise temperatures required for melting gold.
• Alloying: Understanding the process of mixing gold with other metals to create specific alloys.

2. Material Knowledge

• Gold Properties: In-depth understanding of gold's melting point, reactivity, and behavior during smelting.
• Chemistry of Flux: Familiarity with flux materials like borax and soda ash used to remove impurities.
• Impurity Identification: Ability to identify and separate base metals and other impurities.

3. Safety and Compliance

• Workplace Safety: Adherence to safety protocols for handling high temperatures and molten metals.
• Protective Gear Usage: Proper use of safety equipment like gloves, face shields, and heat-resistant clothing.
• Environmental Regulations: Knowledge of environmental and disposal standards for waste products from smelting.

4. Equipment Maintenance

• Tool Handling: Proficiency in using smelting tools such as crucibles, ladles, and molds.
• Furnace Maintenance: Ability to inspect, clean, and repair furnaces and related equipment.
• Monitoring Systems: Experience with automated or manual systems for furnace operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
