The GCC and Iraq Head of Global Network Banking (GNB) is a senior management-level position responsible for defining and implementing the strategy to be the leading bank for our Global clients. The GCC and Iraq GNB Head is a client coverage leadership position responsible for defining and implementing the strategy in covering corporate subsidiaries of foreign domiciled entities. Results will be driven through senior client relationships as trusted advisor, effective management, and development of strong partnerships with product partners while maintaining a high degree of focus on risk and controls. Corporate finance, risk and capital management skills, a strategic institutional mindset and executive focus are critical abilities for success in this role. The goal is to provide clients with products and services mainly concentrated in risk management, Treasury and Trade Solutions, FX, loans and capital markets ensuring Citi provides high level service standards.This role reports to the Middle East & Africa (MEA) Head of GNB and a matrix line to the UAE Citi Country Officer & Banking Head.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy / Execution:
Size global growth opportunity and develop a strategy to be a top three bank in the inbound GNB business
Align with key stakeholders in Banking, Risk and Product on market prioritization and resourcing
Directly manage the GCC & Iraq GNB team
Execution of strategy in partnership with other clusters / country management
Be visible and acknowledged as the industry expert in the market, with clients and internally
Business Development & Sales Management:
Drive innovation including development and commercialization of industry specific solutions in partnership with products / geographic clusters / countries and leveraging digital tools and platforms
Drive geography / industry thought leadership externally and internally and drive presence in GCC & Iraq
Coordinate industry webinars / client events / external marketing
Partner with products / Banking to establish clear guidelines and process for appropriate coverage for GNB names / prospects
Establish and lead robust sales management processes for pipeline management, new client acquisition, client penetration and share of wallet
Be responsible for geography financials including returns
Talent:
Build GCC & Iraq GNB coverage team and ensure deep understanding of relevant products and solutions
Ensure best practices sharing and opportunities for mobility
Train, coach and attract and retain talent.
Qualifications
15+ years of relevant experience
Experience in people management
Strong corporate finance skills
In-depth experience advising clients on debt and capital management, markets solutions and other strategic solutions
Demonstrated ability to balance between internal management and external client time
Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues and regulatory requirements
Proven leadership skills and intellectual capability to create momentum and a collective agenda across multiple products with a diverse population and competing priorities
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's/MBA degree preferred from a top economics, business, or financial engineering program
