GM/Business Lead - Contractor

Description

Duties: Determine Vision and Mission of The Company and provide strategic leadership and direction to the assigned area and manage the internal and external business environment effectively. To drive the formulation and effective implementation of policies, processes, and systems with respect to financial planning, quality management, human resource management and information technology, in line with The Companys Visions and Mission. Responsible for the technical and financially successful results of the company. Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. Carrying out an in-depth review of program, deliverables and estimate costs and ensure suitable project management systems are in place and manage risks accordingly. Overseeing all off-site and on-site construction to ensure Compliance with specifications and current regulations. Ensure that the Companys structure is aligned to the Companys business strategy. Prepare and be responsible for annual business plan /forecast, cash flow and profit. Must have strong relationships with Engineering Consultants, PMCs, Private Institutions and Government Authorities. Must have proven track record in converting tender invitation to project award (LOI) Must have experience in value engineering. Ability to maintain cost of project as per budget/BOQ. Must be able to assist in setting-up commercial process in synch with UAE and FIDIC Laws. Must be able to guide strategically with procurement.
Candidate requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant construction qualification. 15 - 20 years experience working up the ranks in a Main Contractor, Tier 1 or Tier 2. Ideally a minimum of 8 years in UAE. Preferably a minimum of 5 years in a Senior Management/Operational Post. An exceptional candidate potentially looking for a step up from an Operational position to a Business Lead role could also be considered. The successful candidate must be comfortable with working in the Northern Emirates or potentially consider a move there in time. Should be well versed with FIDIC and UAE Laws.
