The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Business Development Engineer who has a strong chemicals background to join Refinery to Chemicals (RTC) Division of the LTC Business & Project Development Department to set up economics model, 3rd party Build Own Operation evaluation model, and project financing as well as interface management amongst groups with technical, execution, commercial SMEs. The Division is primarily responsible for RTC Project Development under This Company In- Kingdom Liquids to Chemicals Program (IK LTC) and drive the development of project assessment, and the delivery of project requirements through FEL I, FEL II and FEL III (Project life cycle). Business Development Specialist will be part of the Project Development & Technology team reporting to the Manager and work closely with others.Responsibilities:
  • Align the details and basis/assumptions of the economics model.
  • Provide the economics parameters, including the Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
  • Ensure internal alignment among shareholders and concerned parties regarding economics parameters.
  • Develop the economics for the Value-Add and Capital Efficiency items, providing the necessary details for the commercial assessment.
  • Assess the Chemical Competitiveness and provide insights on options to improve the overall economics.
  • Establish and assess various market scenarios to support and enhance the project value.
  • Define and participate in Case Study deliverables and identify key optimization initiatives for the overall facilities scope, cost estimates, and schedule.
  • Track the development of Gate deliverables required for Management approval and identify areas needing additional support to meet target dates.
  • Interface and interact with the Government Engagement, GHG Abatement, and Finance Readiness Workstreams, as well as the Project Development Group.
  • Work with the Government Engagement Workstream to determine the economic impact on job creation and GDP within the Kingdom, updating figures in each phase and securing stakeholder alignment.
Requirements:
  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
  • Possess a minimum of 15+ years of experience in the Refining & Chemicals business with a focus on integration.
  • Have previous experience in Project Engineering, Design, and Execution.
  • Strong background in the Chemicals industry.
  • Solid technical expertise.
  • Knowledge and experience in Refinery-Chemicals integration.
  • Experience in steam cracker and associated derivatives, including process licensor selection and technology analysis.
  • Understanding of process yields and qualities.
  • Familiarity with economics and capital efficiency.
  • Experience in developing the scope basis for Chemicals facilities.
  • Experience in Chemicals capital project development, particularly in Pre-FEED/FEED stages.
  • Understanding of molecule optimization and synergy integration.
  • Proficient in execution and commercial aspects.
  • Knowledge of technical interface management.
  • Background in business development.
