It\'s essential for the candidate to feel at ease in a position that involves working with various stakeholders who may have differing priorities.Responsibilities:
Develop tailored monetization strategies to realize the full value of our IP portfolio.
Implement monetization strategies through:
Building a broad range of internal and external stakeholder relationships to establish partnerships.
Conducting comprehensive due diligence to support technology transactions aimed at maximizing value and minimizing risks.
Leading negotiations and drafting/executing agreements.
Maximize the value of existing license agreements by:
Ensuring licensee compliance, including royalty compliance, and implementing monitoring mechanisms to prevent revenue leakage.
Conducting regular evaluations of license agreements and licensee performance to prevent value deterioration.
Deliver regular project update briefings to senior management on progress versus plan.
Requirements:
This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Bachelor\'s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline; an advanced degree such as MS, Ph.D., or an MBA is preferred.
10+ years of combined experience in a minimum of three of the following functions: research, development, operations, business development, intellectual property management, intellectual property transactions, consulting, and finance.
Proven ability to assess IP and its impact, generate licensing opportunities, negotiate terms, and execute agreements.
Experience in complex licensing and sales transactions, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
Experience in marketing and communications campaigns, particularly related to technology marketing.
Experience in freedom to operate (FTO) analyses, and developing evidence of use/claim charts are preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, research/analytical, organizational, creative, and problem-solving skills.
