The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Corrosion Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Organization (GM) under Technical Support team. The technical support team is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements for our Global Manufacturing Admin Area. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of GM Operating facilities. Your primary role will be to provide technical support to operating facilities, projects, technology deployment, and talent development of new corrosion engineers. You will also conduct special studies and analysis in a specialized corrosion control field, such as cathodic protection, water treatment, chemical inhibition or materials selection. Additionally, you will provide specialized technical corrosion control services and consultation.Responsibilities:
Implement corrosion management program and on-stream monitoring.
Troubleshoot and provide technical support for running hydrocarbon (HC) facilities.
Conduct risk-based inspections based on API-580 methodology.
Review and approve recommended solutions for coating failures and cathodic protection.
Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) review sessions and ensure that all issues are addressed.
Manage the water treatment program and recommend solutions to overcome challenges.
Review design packages and validate materials selection based on current codes and standards.
Validate corrosion controls, corrosion loops, and corrosion damage mechanisms frequently.
Assess feed composition changes and approve recommended solutions to assure asset integrity.
Develop the scope and description of technology items and lead field implementation.
Develop and transfer knowledge about the use of coating, cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors, and other corrosion controls and best practices.
Requirements:
Willing to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Hold a Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering.
Possess a minimum of 12 years of experience, with a strong preference for 15 years or more, in processing in the Oil/Gas industry, material science and metrology, different NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) technology and their applications, and knowledge in the engineering aspect of welding.
Have knowledge of international standards and codes, particularly NACE, ASME, API, and ASTM, with a focus on inspection and corrosion standards such as API-571, API-580, API-570, and API-510.
Hold a valid NACE Specialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist certification, or a combination of NACE Corrosion Technologist, API-571, and NACE CP (Cathodic Protection) level II certifications.
