As a Rotating Equipment Engineer in our department, you will be a central figure in maintaining and repairing key equipment for one of the most advanced energy companies globally.Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment, including dismantling, diagnosing, assembling, testing, and issuing related technical reports.
Offer technical consultation to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment, focusing on cost reductions and process improvements.
Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs to identify root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
Implement the latest technology in repair methodology.
Develop and revise the department\'s technical procedures and standards.
Coach and share knowledge with junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians.
Provide technical input for purchasing specifications, including technical proposal evaluation.
Liaise with department engineers, Consulting Services Department (CSD), other company departments, and manufacturers.
Collaborate with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, vendors, and manufacturers in shop repair work scopes.
Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
Requirements:
This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Abqaiq and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the mechanical field, particularly with rotating equipment.
Proven experience in mechanical design, troubleshooting, and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment such as gas compressors, steam turbines, pumps, and gearboxes.
Experience in an original equipment manufacturing facility or certified repairing facility for steam turbines, gas compressors, and diesel engines.
Excellent proficiency in English reading and writing.
