Job Purpose:



The Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) will be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with our key Humanitarian Aid clients across the globe. This role is pivotal to our organisation's growth strategy, focusing on client retention, expansion, and delivering top-notch logistics solutions. The successful candidate will be an expert in the logistics industry, have a deep understanding of client needs, and possess exceptional relationship-building skills.


The overall objective is to drive growth and profitability in the Humanitarian Aid Sub-Vertical. The GKAM will guide professionals within the respective business units to deliver growth.


The performance indicators will be increased revenue in line agreed set targets, enhanced customer satisfaction (repeat business and increasing purse share), and, overall, the establishment of DP World as a leading service provider and a thought leader in the Humanitarian Aid Sector.


Key Accountabilities:



Client Relationship Management:


Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and challenges. Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for clients within the organisation. Identify account growth and expansion opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to develop solutions.Ensure that clients know all the services and capabilities our company can offer (the toolbox) to meet their evolving logistics requirements and the possibilities of connecting the various capabilities of the toolboxes to offer fit-for-purpose solutions
Sales Management (Internal)


Work with sales and operations staff to ensure that all DP World services are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. Support the regions and all functions to establish budgets, forecasts and KPIs. Support the regions to maintain their sales pipeline information on the Customer relationship management system. Join customer business reviews as and when necessary. Create and implement strategic account plans for key clients, aligning their objectives with our logistics solutions. Analyze Humanitarian Aid market trends and developments to identify opportunities for client engagement.
General


Responsible for the coaching and leadership (dotted reporting line) of an engaged team of Regional Key Account Managers, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time-bound. Always act as an ambassador for DP World, promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:



Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Proven track record in global key account management, with demonstrated client retention and growth success. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, Excel, logistics software). Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. * Experience with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
