The Global Continuous Improvement Lead will oversee and facilitate operational improvement initiatives across various functions, harnessing cross-functional teams for enhancing processes, systems, behaviours, and organisational effectiveness. This role requires collaborative work across the organisation, engaging with multiple departments and business units. This role focuses on the hands-on creation, deployment, and execution of tangible improvement initiatives.
Champion and apply Six Sigma and Lean process methodologies to drive organisational excellence. Provide guidance and training to team members in these methodologies.
Manage CI project teams, develop business cases, and oversee project execution, ensuring sustainability of improvements.
Lead and facilitate best in class Quality Incident investigation and root-cause-analysis.
Collaborate with business units to implement operational improvements and process enhancements, contributing to organisational effectiveness.
Conduct data analytics, establish metrics, and present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
Facilitate the definition of operational strategies and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Lead the establishment of the Lean Forum in Petrofac to drive systematic problem-solving.
Partner with Project/Contract Directors and Management team to improve decision-making through CI initiatives.
Identify improvement opportunities from various sources and turn them into actionable plans.
Coach and mentor teams to integrate continuous improvement into their operations.
Lead and participate in Kaizen events, promoting continuous improvement principles.
Develop and implement standardized work procedures and processes across the organisation.
Implement visual management techniques to enhance process understanding and adherence.
Promote the adoption of digital solutions as part of the change management process.
Develop and maintain continuous improvement policies and guidelines.
Champion fostering a culture of continuous improvement, including training and development initiatives.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in engineering or management; masters degree preferred.
Certifications Black Belt Lean Six Sigma.
Certifications in Project Management.
Project management experience.
Demonstrable leadership experience and confidence in leading organisational cultural change.
Strong statistical and data analytics capabilities to interpret patterns into improvement opportunities.
Ability to lead through change and inspire agility/flexibility among team.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A proven record of delivering value from CI initiatives.
Able to build collaborative relationships.
Strong digital acumen.
Ability to effectively communicate current processes and future solution recommendations.
Ability to travel and make site visits (up to 10% annually).
Ideally has experience of the Management Systems that comply with ISO9001.
