Job Description

The Role

GL Accountant As a GL Accountant, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager, and will be responsible for coordinating closing and reporting activities for Middle East (including Saudi). Your key accountabilities would be: o Support and partly coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and reporting. o Support Auditors in conducting internal and external audits. o Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and internal policies. o Monitor and release prepayments. o Collect, verify and post accruals. o Reconcile GL with various sub ledgers and the Balance Sheet. o Prepare and pass rectification entries and maintain Journal register. o Manage Fixed Assets Register, depreciation run and physical verification. o Support VAT, CIT, WHT and other tax related topics o Assist in special projects, ad hoc analysis and tasks as needed. o Cross-functional collaboration across departments. o Interface with external stakeholders like auditors, actuaries, vendors etc.



Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting o minimu 3 years of experience general ledger, preferably in MNC o Experience in SAP is desirable o Good data analytics skills (including proficiency in Excel) and problem-solving skills o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English o Ability to interface with all levels of management o Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment
