Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing all geotechnical investigation activities, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects with sound knowledge in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground improvement for project recommendations. This role involves managing a team of engineers, coordinating with clients and contractors, conducting technical reviews, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and EIAC regulations.

Qualifications, Experience & Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

15 or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering in the UAE, with leadership responsibilities. Proven track record in managing geotechnical investigations for projects in Dubai and the Northern emirates in the UAE. Faced EIAC audits and fulfill QMS and technical requirements of the regulatory audits/ periodic surveillances.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundations, and geotechnical design. Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Geo5 etc.) Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Project Oversight

Lead geotechnical investigations, site assessments, and soil analysis. Review and approve geotechnical designs, reports, and recommendations. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements. Provide expert guidance on foundation systems, slope stability, and earthworks.

2. Team Management & Development

Supervise, mentor, and train geotechnical engineers, geologists, and technicians. Allocate tasks and ensure timely project execution. Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

3. Client Correspondence

Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and contractors. Prepare and present geotechnical reports and recommendations. Address client concerns and provide technical solutions.

4. Financial & Resource Management

Prepare project budgets and cost estimates for geotechnical services. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability. Evaluate subcontractor and vendor performance for geotechnical services.

5. Health, Safety & Risk Management

Ensure all geotechnical operations comply with safety regulations. Identify and mitigate geotechnical risks in projects. Implement best practices for field testing, lab testing, and data analysis.
