The Role
The Subject Teacher is a member of the academic team whose main responsibility is ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in a specific subject and fostering a positive learning environment where very evident progress is made and where levels of attainment are above curriculum standards. The position is also very much focused on ensuring students are engaged, inquiring, independent, and knowledgeable learners. Key areas of responsibility also include analysis of assessment data, participation in designated committees, and effective engagement in curricular and extracurricular activities. - In addition, to close work with his/her peers within the department, the teacher also collaborates closely with members of the inclusion team, the activity coordinator, supervisors, and social workers to ensure his/her students receive a holistic education and pastoral support they need whilst at school. A subject teacher could carry a dual role along with his/her responsibilities (e.g.: G&T Coordinator, Career Counselor).
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree of Education in Geography or other Degrees. - IELTS score of 6. - A teacher license or Teaching diploma is required for other Degrees (ex. Math, Pharmacy, etc.) - Proven experience in teaching Geography at the Primary level.
