The General Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all electrical, mechanical, and kitchen equipment within the Club. The role needs to ensure that all systems, including commercial kitchen and bar equipment, electrical installations, and mechanical infrastructure, operate safely and efficiently in compliance with health and safety regulations. The technician is expected to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with third-party contractors when required.
Job Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems for the Club.
Set up and install new systems or equipment according to specifications and safety guidelines.
Provide hands-on support for work assignments to ensure timely completion and adherence to specifications.
Execute all preventive maintenance duties as outlined by management
Follow and enforce procedures that ensure the security of inventory, including tools, supplies, and equipment.
Follow prescribed safety procedures and emergency plans for personnel and equipment in compliance with company policies and local laws.
Liaise with third-party vendors and contractors as needed.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling electrical, mechanical, and gas-powered systems.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members.
Qualifications/Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and kitchen equipment maintenance.
Strong understanding of Electrical & Mechanical Codes and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including motors, pumps, wiring, and control panels.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment specific to industry (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or IT) is essential
Ability to diagnose and repair kitchen equipment, electrical faults, and mechanical issues efficiently.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to adhere to safety procedures and emergency protocols.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks as necessary.
