He or she is responsible for the upkeep of the hotel or business office and to to complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures since he/she is a skilled in a variety of areas including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. He/She will continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering services to guests, other departments, and fellow staffs.Key Responsibilities:

• Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance of hotel systems and equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are in good working order.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, and effectively diagnosing and repairing issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, malfunctioning appliances, etc.
• Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulations. This includes fire safety, health and safety codes, and any relevant building codes.
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Assisting with renovation and construction projects as needed, including basic carpentry, painting, and other tasks to support the upkeep and improvement of the hotel.
• Being available for on-call duty and responding to emergency maintenance situations outside of regular working hours, such as power outages or severe weather incidents.
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment service history.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A formal qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering
• Minimum 2 years\' experience working in a luxury hotel environment.
• Hotel Pre-opening experience or renovation experience is an advantage.
• Proven experience as General Technician for 2 years.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment, plant equipment or other related commercial equipment is highly desirable
• Able to read blueprints or cad drawings
• Have strong knowledge of technical aspects in mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.
