Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled General Technician with expertise in MEP and fit-out works to join our team. The General Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to MEP installations, fit-out works, and snagging clearance to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. We are seeking a skilled General Technician with expertise in MEP and fit-out works to join our team. The General Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to MEP installations, fit-out works, and snagging clearance to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Responsibilities:
- Conduct MEP installations, including electrical wiring, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, and fire protection systems, according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform fit-out works, such as drywall installation, painting, flooring, and cabinetry installation, with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct snagging inspections to identify and rectify any defects or deficiencies in MEP installations and fit-out works.
- Utilize silicone and other appropriate materials to seal joints, gaps, and connections in MEP installations and fit-out elements to prevent water ingress and air leakage.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, subcontractors, and project managers to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked for reporting and invoicing purposes.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and tools used in MEP installations and fit-out works.
- Proven experience in MEP installations and fit-out works in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and building codes/regulations.
- Proficiency in using silicone and other sealants for waterproofing and air sealing applications.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various environments.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
