Patient may not be refused treatment because their medical conditions may pose a risk. xe2x80xa2 Adhere to a high standard of clinical consultations and physical examination(s). xe2x80xa2 Recognize and function within the limits of own clinical knowledge and competence. xe2x80xa2 Take all necessary action / steps to minimize the risk before providing treatment or make suitable alternative arrangements for treatment in emergency situations, considering own safety, competence, and the availability of other options for care. xe2x80xa2 Provide all relevant information about the patient, including their medical history, the results of the investigations, the treatment provided, current condition and any other information necessary for the continuation of care when referring a patient to another health care professional and follow the referral protocol. xe2x80xa2 Take full responsibility for own professional practice and always be prepared to justify own decisions and actions.Responsibilities:Monitor and provide general care to patients in General Medicine Department xe2x80xa2 Refer to the hospital who require special care, investigation(s) and treatment(s). xe2x80xa2 Examine and talk to patients to diagnose their medical conditions. xe2x80xa2 Make notes, both as a record of treatment and for referral. xe2x80xa2 Liaise with other medical and non-medical staff in the Medical Centre to ensure quality treatment. xe2x80xa2 Work with other doctors as part of a team and strictly adhere to follow internal referral policy. xe2x80xa2 All patient (appointment & walk-in) should be consulted until the end of your duty hours. No patient should be rejected or referred without consulting and proper documentation. xe2x80xa2 Promote health education among patients. xe2x80xa2 Maintain knowledge of applicable local regulations and requirements. xe2x80xa2 Developing and maintaining professional quality standards and recommending the improvement of such standards to meet those of the DHA / MOH. xe2x80xa2 Medicine samples should not be stored, distributed, or promoted within the consultation room in accordance with the rules and regulations of MOH xe2x80xa2 Consult only the registered patient.
