:One of the high-tech healthcare facilities is the region's biggest private referral hospital offering effective medical care in a professional and caring environment is looking for General Orthopedic Consultant.A General Orthopedic Consultant is a specialized physician who diagnoses, treats, and manages musculoskeletal conditions and injuries affecting bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. They provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including surgical and non-surgical interventions, to patients of all ages. General Orthopedic Consultants may work in hospitals, clinics, or private practices, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and review of imaging studies (X-rays, MRI, CT scans), to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific condition, lifestyle, and treatment goals.
  • Prescribe medications, physical therapy, and other non-surgical interventions to manage musculoskeletal disorders and promote healing.
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as joint replacement, fracture fixation, arthroscopy, and soft tissue repair, as necessary to restore function and alleviate pain.
  • Assess and manage fractures, including closed reduction, casting, splinting, and surgical intervention when indicated.
  • Monitor healing progress and provide follow-up care to ensure optimal outcomes and prevent complications.
  • Perform joint preservation procedures, such as cartilage restoration, osteotomy, and ligament repair, to prevent or delay the need for joint replacement surgery.
  • Perform joint replacement surgery (arthroplasty) for patients with advanced degenerative joint disease (e.g., osteoarthritis) to improve mobility and relieve pain.
  • Provide emergent and urgent care for patients with orthopedic trauma, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries.
  • Stabilize and immobilize injured limbs, perform wound care, and initiate appropriate treatment to prevent further injury and promote healing.
  • Evaluate and treat sports-related injuries, such as sprains, strains, tendonitis, and ligament tears, in athletes of all ages and skill levels.
  • Provide guidance on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and safe return to sports activities.
  • Educate patients and their families about their orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Provide guidance on post-operative care, activity modification, and lifestyle modifications to optimize recovery and prevent recurrence of injuries.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and radiologists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
  • Consult with specialists in related fields, such as neurosurgery, rheumatology, and rehabilitation medicine, to manage complex cases and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and surgical notes, in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
Requirements-Experience From US (Board), Canada (Royal College Fellowship) UK (CCT), Ireland (CSD, CSCST), Australia &NZ (Fellowship), France (DES, DESC), And Other European Countries According to The Qualification Equivalence Tables of the UAE- MOH
-Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a hospital environment - Western and Asian countries experience is preferred.
Asians with Gulf experience is preferred.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
-Fluency in written and spoken English
-MOH registered- Preferred
-Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
