Job Summary: The General Manager will oversee the overall operations and strategic direction of our paper bags manufacturing facility. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in manufacturing, production management, and business development. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient processes, drive profitability, and foster a culture of innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Management:
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet market demand.
• Monitor production processes and address any issues that arise.
• Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company's strategic goals.
• Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the market.
• Analyze industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Financial Oversight:
• Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Analyze financial reports to track performance and implement cost-control measures.
• Drive initiatives to improve profitability and reduce waste.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of managers and staff.
• Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and innovation.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement training programs.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance product quality.
• Address customer feedback and complaints effectively.
• Supply Chain Management:
• Oversee sourcing and procurement of raw materials.
• Establish strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize production and reduce costs.
• Sustainability Initiatives:
• Promote environmentally sustainable practices in manufacturing processes.
• Stay informed on industry regulations related to sustainability.
• Develop initiatives that reduce the company's carbon footprint.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a managerial role within manufacturing, preferably in the packaging industry.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
• Proficient in financial management and reporting.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in manufacturing is a plus.
