We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our construction company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing both office operations and on-site construction projects. This role requires a strong ability to manage teams, budgets, and schedules, while ensuring quality, safety, and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Office Operations:
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
• Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Monitor and control costs to ensure profitability.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and manage a high-performing team of professionals, including project managers, engineers, and administrative staff.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and negotiate contracts.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
On-Site Construction:
• Project Management: Oversee multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Site Supervision: Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
• Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure projects meet specifications.
• Procurement: Manage the procurement process, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and overseeing vendor performance.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient in construction management software and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
