Key Requirements & Responsibilities

Requirements

The General Ledger Accountant(R2R) is responsible for managing the company's accounting functions, including the general ledger, bank reconciliations, inventory management, fixed assets & month end close. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will also have experience with fixed assets capitalization, audit support and closure, corporate tax & VAT, and a background in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

1- Bank Reconciliation: Bank reconciliations review.

2- Weekly GL Account Review: Conduct weekly reviews of general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.

3- Month End Accruals: Prepare and post month-end accruals to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct period.

4- Monthly Balance Sheet Preparation: Compile and analyze monthly balance sheet reports.

5- Monthly Closing of Books: Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.

6- Quarterly Stock Audit & Reconciliation: Conduct quarterly audits and reconciliations of stock to ensure accuracy.

7- Cost Tracking, Monitoring, and Controls: Monitor and control costs to ensure financial efficiency.

8- Fixed Assets Management: Maintain the fixed assets register and conduct six-monthly verification of fixed assets.

9- Fixed Assets Capitalization: Manage the capitalization of fixed assets, ensuring accurate and timely recording of capital expenditures.

10- Audit Support and Closure: Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Ensure timely closure of audit findings.

11- Corporate Tax & VAT: Ensure compliance with corporate tax and VAT regulations.

12- Manufacturing Experience: Leverage experience in manufacturing to handle industry-specific accounting tasks and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Experience: 5 Years to 7 Years of experience in the finance function, with a focus on general ledger accounting, manufacturing and import & export experience.

- Skills:

- Proficient in ERP accounting software - SAP

- Strong analytical skills

- Attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Advance Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
