Position Title: Instrumentation Helper
Reports To: Maintenance Manager/Plant Manager
Position Overview: The Instrumentation Helper assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems. This role supports skilled technicians and engineers in ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists the production team (Continuous process) by checking the flow meters, pressure gauges, level transmitters and reporting to the CCR operators during production time.
Noting down the abnormalities throughout the production process and make sure the process completed safely.
Should be knowledgeable in installing, maintaining, and repairing instruments and control systems used in industrial processes. This role involves supporting senior technicians in handling equipment, performing basic troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth operations of instrumentation systems.
Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and wiring.
Help to install and replace instrumentation parts, such as valves, gauges, and flow meters.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Transport tools, equipment, and materials to work sites as required.
Follow safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical and mechanical instruments.
Assist in documenting calibration and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting purposes.
Learn and understand technical drawings and manuals under supervision.
Report any defects or malfunctions of equipment to senior staff for further action.
Qualifications & Skills:
Higher Secondary or ITI diploma in Instrumentation or technical or vocational training in instrumentation.
Basic understanding of industrial instruments and control systems.
Ability to read and follow basic instructions, technical manuals, and diagrams.
Hands-on experience or willingness to learn with tools such as multimeters, screwdrivers, and calibration devices.
Should be physically fit and the ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Familiarity with hand tools and testing equipment.

Preferred Specifications:
Previous experience in a petrochemical plant is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and instrumentation technologies.
Should be able to communicate in English and Hindi Language.
Work Environment:
The role may involve working in industrial plants, refineries, factories, or outdoor environments.
May require occasional overtime or shift work based on production.
Ability to climb, kneel, and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
Exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, and varying weather conditions may occur.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
Familiarity with hand tools and testing equipment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a team and follow safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed.
Willingness to work in various environments, including industrial settings.
